2017年、パリ・シテ島のノートルダム大聖堂を拝観。
ほのかに明るい館内中央に立つと、はるか頭上の二つの大きなステンドグラスに目を奪われる。そこから溢れ降り注ぐ光に、驚き、言葉を失くし、興奮し、幸福感を覚えた。
タイトルの「溢光」は造語で、「いっこう」と読む。2018年4月に〈南〉、2019年2月に〈北〉を制作。ノートルダムへ祈りを込めて。

I visited Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris in 2017.
When I stood at the center of the sanctuary, I saw two big stained-glass windows overhead. The light that flowed through them surprised me. I was at a loss for words. It made me feel very excited and full of joy.
I made a South one in April 2018, and a North one in February 2019. Pray for Notre Dame.
