大通りを離れると、偶然石畳の工事現場に遭遇。作業着姿の数十名の職人の手作業によって、精緻に並べられた石は呼吸をしているようだった。さまざまな淡い色が街全体を明るく印象づけ、歩くたびに心が弾む。

From my memories of Brussels in 2017. I walked off the main street, I found a construction site with new paving stones on a tiny road. The stones were arranged precisely by the craftsmen's hands and seemed to breathe. They had a variety of pale colors that made the whole city brighter; my heart leapt with every step I took.
